AMBER iQ
Now Google Compatible
Amber iQ now uses Keyhole Markup Language (KML) to export analytically generated results into the interactive Google Earth application. Users can take advantage of Google’s vast library of imagery and other geographic information by combining it with the advanced analytical capabilities of Amber iQ.
Example 1: With Amber iQ users can answer questions such as - what is visually exposed to the summit of Mt Whitney, the tallest point in California? The results of this analysis can then be shared with anyone who has Google Earth installed.
Exporting is easy, just follow the three step process.
Step 1: Open a map window with the layers you wish to see in Google Earth.

Step 2: Select the Google Earth button located on the Output toolbar and name the KML file.
Step 3: Launch Google Earth and view the results.
If you have Google Earth installed you can view these results “live” by selecting this link Mt Whitney Viewshed.
Example 2: With Amber iQ users can specify what attribute data will be passed to the KML file. This information can then can be easily accessed and displayed within Google Earth. For example, a map of Mexico, thematically shaded by State population, can be exported so that it includes the name and population of each state. Clicking a State marker will produce a bubble containing the State’s attribute information.
If you have Google Earth you can view these results “live” by selecting this link Mexico Population.
Example 3: Critical time sensitive information can be shared quickly within an organization so that better life saving decisions can be made more efficiently. Information like the storm surge data produced by the National Hurricane Center is required by local and state government agencies so they can design effective plans for relief. The provided imagery is based upon modeled surge data for hurricane Katrina as produced by NOAA for Mobile Alabama. The data was available courtesy of the NOAA/National Hurricane Center Storm Surge Team.
If you have Google Earth you can view these results “live” by selecting this link Hurricane Katrina Surge Model Mobile AL
Google Earth is a free viewer and can be downloaded at http://earth.google.com/.
