Ambercore to Deliver Mine Flooding Analysis to UralKali
Ottawa, Canada, February 1, 2007 – Ambercore Software Inc., a leading global provider of high performance spatial software and services for Energy and Mining industries, has today announced the delivery of a system for the analysis of mine flooding scenarios to UralKali (Moscow, Russia). UralKali is a dedicated potash producer with leading market penetration in the most significant developing markets for fertilizer consumption.
Ambercore had been contracted in order to provide spatial data modeling for UralKali’s Mine number 1 in Berezniki, Russia. The project involved the integration and visualization of digital and hard-copy data. The integrated information was used to simulate several mine flooding scenarios.
Ambercore’s efficient data processing capabilities provided information on how much of the mine has been flooded, as well as the current rate of flooding. Using this information, various simulations were created depicting how the mine will continue to flood. Also, simulations of gas chamber volumes and pressures were created and visualized.
