Wanda Dorosz, Chairman
Wanda Dorosz is a founder, Managing Partner and CEO of Quorum, a private equity boutique that has managed over $800 million (Cdn) in growth capital and real estate since inception. Wanda is responsible for overall strategy and has reviewed over 20 thousand technology companies in her career. She is a director of numerous private, public and not-for-profit organizations including the Quorum Group of Companies, York University Schulich Business School and Top 40 Under 40. She was a national judge of the Canadian E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Program for a number of years. Some of her prior directorships include Investors Group, Canada’s largest mutual fund company with 80 billion dollars in assets, Residential Equities REIT, the University of Toronto Governing Council, Toronto Stock Exchange Advisory Committee and the Abitibi-Price Office Products Advisory Board. Wanda was appointed by the Prime Minister of Canada to the National Advisory Board on Science and Technology (NABST) and to Harbourfront Corporation. Other prior directorships include Anderson Consulting (now Accenture)’s Canadian Advisory Board and Ontario Centre for Microelectronics. She is also currently a member of the Investment Committee of the Canadian Federal Government’s $600 million Sustainable Development Technology Fund. Wanda received a Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Regina and an LLB first Quartile from the University of British Columbia.
Stephen Y.S. Li , Board Member
Stephen is a founder and Senior Partner of Quorum. Stephen joined Quorum in 1989, moving from Hong Kong where he held a senior management position with the Hong Kong government for 14 years. He has been actively involved in all Quorum investments over the past 19 years, introducing international initiatives on behalf of Quorum in the Pacific region, including Quorum’s joint ventures with China Trust Group and China Investment & Development Co. Ltd., both of Taiwan, and initiated the Asian operations of Quorum. Stephen graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in management Studies and he is a member of the British Institute of Management, London, England. Stephen is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. He sits on a number of the Board of Directors of the Quorum Group of Companies and their investee companies. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation.
Boris Vorobiov, Ph.D. Board Member
Dr. Vorobiov brings 26 years of GIS experience and an international reputation to Ambercore Software. During his career he has led numerous development efforts, and initiated two successful software development companies, where he held CTO and CEO positions. Dr. Vorobiov has a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Kharkiv State University and a PhD in Information Technologies from the Ukrainian Institute of Water Preservation & Ecology.
James Ferguson, BSc., Board Member
Mr. Ferguson has more than 25 years’ experience in the survey and mapping industry, including extensive international experience. He holds a B.Sc. in Survey Science and Statistics from the University of Toronto. Mr. Ferguson is the co-founder of Terrapoint Canada Inc. and its predecessor, Mosaic Mapping Systems Inc. He is a registered professional Ontario Land Surveyor and Ontario Land Information Professional. As president of Terrapoint, Mr. Ferguson is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic vision and management of the company and oversees Terrapoint’s business units in Canada and the United States.
