Martin Sendyk, President & CEO
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Martin Sendyk oversees Ambercore operations, bringing to the position over 15 years of experience in the high tech industry working with world-class companies and award-winning products. His background includes senior level involvement with Newbridge Networks (acquired by Alcatel), Nortel and Motorola. Martin has also held leadership and founding roles with smaller successful companies such as Ubiquity Software, Castleton Network Systems and most recently Centrepoint Technologies. Martin has a successful track record of delivering enterprise-scale software solutions to market, and results for investors. Martin holds both technical and business degrees, from the University of Calgary and the University of Ottawa. He is also a registered professional engineer.
James Ferguson, BSc., OLS, OLIP, President Terrapoint Division
Mr. Ferguson has more than 25 years’ experience in the survey and mapping industry, including extensive international experience. He holds a B.Sc. in Survey Science and Statistics from the University of Toronto. Mr. Ferguson is the co-founder of Terrapoint Canada Inc. and its predecessor, Mosaic Mapping Systems Inc. He is a registered professional Ontario Land Surveyor and Ontario Land Information Professional. As president of Terrapoint, Mr. Ferguson is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic vision and management of the company and oversees Terrapoint’s business units in Canada and the United States.
Bruce Nelson, MSc., BSc. – President Terrapoint Division USA
Mr. Nelson has more than 30 years’ experience in management, including senior roles in several firms. He holds a Masters of Science in Geosciences from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Nelson was President and COO of Houston-based Syntron until 1998, following which he was an industry and management consultant to Pulse Data Inc., before joining Terrapoint in 2004. Mr. Nelson oversees operation of Terrapoint’s U.S. offices and is regional manager for Terrapoint’s U.S.-based concerns.
Boris Vorobiov, Ph.D., Vice President R&D & CTO
Dr. Vorobiov brings 26 years of senior scientific experience and an international reputation to AmberCore Software. During his career Dr. Vorobiov has led numerous development efforts, including eight years of oil and gas exploration experience in Northern Siberia, as well as gas processing plant control systems and design. Dr. Vorobiov initiated two successful software development companies, where he held CTO and CEO positions. He has a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Kharkiv State University and a PhD in Information Technologies from the Ukrainian Institute of Water Preservation & Ecology.
Craig Glennie. Ph.D. – Vice President, Engineering
Dr. Glennie holds a Ph.D. in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary (1999). Following this he held positions at several firms, specializing in transmission line engineering using LiDAR and digital imagery. Dr. Glennie joined Terrapoint USA Inc. in July 2004, becoming Vice President, Engineering in January 2007. He manages Terrapoint’s engineering group and activities in the company’s regional offices. He is an expert in the integration of GPS and INS systems, and has led the development of Terrapoint’s proprietary 3-D positioning solutions for its TITAN® and low range LiDAR technology.
Paul Mrstik, P.Eng OLS, OLIP – Vice President, Technology
Mr. Mrstik has more than 30 years’ experience in the survey, mapping and geomatics sector. He was the founder of GEOsurv Inc., a GPS service and software company, and is a co-founder of Terrapoint and Mosaic. Mr. Mrstik holds a B.Eng. in Electronics and is an Ontario Land Surveyor and an Ontario Land Information Professional. Mr. Mrstik assumed his current title at Terrapoint in January 2007. He focuses on emerging technology trends and research affiliations with various institutes, and provides his expertise to Terrapoint’s engineering development programs.
Vladimir Khomutov
Vice President, Business Development, Europe and Asia
As Vice President Business Development responsible for business activities in Europe and Asia, Vladimir Khomutov brings to AmberCore over 25 years of senior Oil and Gas Industry experience. Vladimir’s previous positions include General Director of Ukraine’s leading gas refineries, part of the Ministry of Oil Production, now UkrNafta. During this time Vladimir successfully built international relationships with leading companies in the Middle East and Europe. He has a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions for petroleum exploration and production. Vladimir has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kharkiv Polytechnic University, Ukraine.
Sergey Reznichenko, Ph. D., Vice President, Mining
Leading a combined business and technical team, Dr. Reznichenko brings over 20 years of international mining experience to AmberCore. As an expert in diamond mining, most recently Dr. Reznichenko was responsible for developing the mining research strategy and portfolio of related projects at De Beers Head Quarters in Johannesburg, South Africa. Previously his experience includes production and project work for large diamond, iron-ore, coal and gold mining companies such as Alrosa and Rio Tinto. Dr. Reznichenko’s project portfolio covers different geographic regions stretching from Northern Canada and Russia to Amazon jungles and Kalahari Desert and ranging from open-pit and alluvial surface mining operations to deep-level underground and marine ocean shelf mining. A visionary in leading edge mining engineering practices and operations, Dr. Reznichenko has developed an international reputation in the areas of pit optimization, medium- and long-term planning of mining operations, trade-off between open-pit and underground mining, Beyond strong technical and business skills, Dr. Reznichenko also brings in-depth co-operation with various international mining academic institutions as well as leading suppliers of mining and construction equipment to AmberCore. Dr. Reznichenko holds a Masters Degree from Moscow State Mining University, a Ph. D. in Mining from the Moscow State Geological Academy and business accreditation from Kingston University Business School, UK.
Sergiy Kostrikov, Ph.D., Chief Scientist
Dr. Kostrikov is a world leading researcher in areas of Geology, Geography and Environmental Sciences. He has been working at Kharkiv State University for over 15 years and has been involved with a number of spatial analysis companies. He has also practiced at a number of world class universities and scientific institutes, including: Kharkiv State University in the Ukraine, the Central European University, in Budapest, Hungary, the University of Manchester in the UK, and New Jersey State University, USA. Dr. Kostrikov holds double Ph.D.s, in Environmental Sciences. To date he has published 63 academic papers, including numerous publications in Russian, Ukrainian, and European scientific journals. He has also authored 3 university textbooks.
Dmitry Kulakov, VP R&D Operations
Having more than 20 years of experience in software development industry and being involved in variety of domains, Dmitry Kulakov brings to Ambercore R&D his senior level management expertise as well as software architectural skills. His previous management roles at Northwood Technologies and Marconi led to the successful implementation of a number of large products. Dmitry has successfully built several teams that were able to complete complex development projects fast and with industry leading quality. He also has extensive experience with enterprise data systems, and system integration projects. Dmitry has a Bachelor Degree in System Analysis from the State University of Ukraine and a Master Degree in Software Engineering from the Russian Military Academy.
Ted Reeler, Director, Projects and Technology
Ted Reeler has over 20 years of natural resource industry experience in software development, product support, application design and consulting. Ted’s experience includes 3D mining system design, horizontal directional drilling systems, pipeline planning and data integration, open pit tailings and overburden placement projects. He has held management positions in business development at GeoNet Technologies and in project management at Nortel. Ted was also head of customer support for Caris, successfully supporting a worldwide client base. Ted is a registered professional engineer with a Master of Science degree in Geomatics.
