Terrapoint’s surveys are ideally suited to the production of accurate elevation data for engineering projects including highway and road construction projects.  Our LiDAR Digital Elevation Models (DEM) can be as accurate as 5 cm for hard surfaces.  Using a Terrapoint DEM, cut and fill quantities can be estimated during the planning and estimating phase.  The DEM can be used in conjunction with GIS and CAD systems to enable planners and engineers to model various scenarios choosing the best route or location for construction.
