TITAN®

Terrapoint’s TITAN® is a revolutionary mobile scanning system, that performs data acquisition for corridor applications requiring high accuracy and maximum data coverage.

Comprising high-frequency scanning lasers coupled with a dual-frequency GPS receiver and a proprietary Inertial Navigation System, TITAN® is a completely portable, weather resistant, and fully enclosed system.

A unique combination of attributes differentiates TITAN® from conventional technologies:

• internal point-to-point accuracy of 2 cm
• Vertical accuracies of 2.5 cm (at 95% - 2 sigma)
• Compiles data safely at highway speeds
• Collects point density from 40 – 200 points per square meter
• Works day or night with complete safety
• Avoids lane closures and greatly reduces “on-highway” crew surveying

TITAN® is an extremely versatile solution that can augment High Definition Scanning (HDS) as well as conventional data acquisition methods. Variable Point Density enables deployment at normal highway speeds yielding approximately 40 points per square meter. Greater coverage can be achieved by reducing the speed of data collection. Four lane and Interstate highways, two lane rural, and urban highway infrastructure can be mapped and assessed quickly using TITAN® technology.

Terrapoint offers a fully integrated TITAN® system complete with all necessary training and support. TITAN®’s output is compatible with all standard transportation CAD packages.
